Education Statement:
Everyman Theatre provides quality educational opportunities designed to inspire creativity, foster personal development and enrich the lives of individuals from the Baltimore/Washington area.

Everyman Theatre Internship
Everyman Theatre is offering two professional eleven month internships to two college graduates of the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area.  The Everyman Theatre interns will have the opportunity to work directly in production, stage management and education.   This will be an exciting and challenging eleven month period for serious students of theatre and will further prepare them for professional theatre work.

Production Intern:  The Production Intern will work in multiple areas of production and provide support in scenery construction, scenic painting, electrics and sound.  She/he will work on each mainstage production and in addition, will be assigned a crew position for each production, such as light board operator, sound board operator, a member of the run crew and Production Assistant.

Stage Management/Education Intern:  The stage management intern will work directly with a professional Stage Manager and assist them in the rehearsal room.  Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: recording blocking, scheduling, being on book during rehearsal, running lines with actors, and communications with cast and designers.  The stage management/education intern will also have the opportunity to be a Production Assistant for one mainstage production.

In addition, the intern will assist the education department in researching and developing material directly related to each mainstage production for Everyman’s Education and Outreach programs.  Also, this intern will be given the opportunity to moderate one mainstage “talk-back” with artists and patrons.

This intern will need to be comfortable with public speaking and have the ability to confidently present material to high school students and theatre patrons.
