Set in a Catholic school in 1964, a self-righteous and unwavering nun suspects the charismatic parish priest of several improprieties with one of his young male parishoners. With absolute certainty, she investigates to expose the truth. Is the priest guilty or innocent? Shanley's riveting story asks each of us to examine our own moral compass and the role that doubt plays in faith.
