The summer is a time to prioritize self-care through artistic expression! Join us for these fun, innovative, and focused summer classes designed to inspire and challenge your inner artist.


VIRTUAL | The first Tuesday and Thursday evenings of June and July are for the writers!
Calling all emerging playwrights. These three-hour long workshops feature a combination of learning and sharing for an intimate group. Whether you bring something to work on or create something for the first time, you’ll have a clear teaching point, in-class writing time, and then the work will be read aloud by professional actors.

Creating a Physical Life
July 11 – 20, 2022; Mondays + Wednesdays
IN-PERSON | The physical life of the character you are bringing to life is essential. This four-class progression identifies elements of character creation and ensures a unique entry point for each class. From non-verbal storytelling to using textual clue to inform a character’s physicality, this class is a terrific primer to begin an exploration of your body from the actor’s perspective.

Voice Acting
July 25 – August 10, 2022; Mondays + Wednesdays
VIRTUAL | The voice is a powerful communication tool. From audiobook reading to voice-over work, there is an entire industry designed around the actor’s voice. Dive into this foundation building sampler class that offers you insight into the how-tos. Play with the skill of breath control, diction, dialect, and character creation through voice in this fun-filled and informative class.

Audition Technique
July 12 – 28, 2022; Tuesdays + Thursdays
HYBRID | In an evolving industry, this class offers a sampler to different types of auditions and preparation techniques for each to create a bold, inspired, and informed performance. This class will take place in-person at Everyman Theatre with designated virtual sessions focused on self-taping. It will build your knowledge base and ensure you have access to current best practices.

Everyman Theatre is committed to removing barriers of access to an arts education.

For every class we offer, we are able to provide two pay-what-you-can spaces. These are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Complete this FORM to let us know what class you’d like to take and at what price point!

We encourage you to apply for a need-based scholarship by completing this FORM. While funding is limited, we work hard to accept as many students as possible throughout the year. Scholarship Applications can be submitted on a rolling basis.
