University Partnerships

Our university partnerships exist to expand the opportunities for creating shared educational and professional values between institutions and Everyman Theatre.

Overview

Everyman Theatre is committed to cultivating the next generation of theatre-makers by building meaningful, sustainable partnerships with colleges and universities throughout our region. Our collaborations are designed to strengthen the preparation of a diverse and dynamic workforce, while deepening students’ understanding of both the artistry and the business of professional theatre.

Through these partnerships, we work closely with faculty and administrators to expand and enhance the undergraduate experience. Opportunities may include:

  • Curriculum-Integrated Workshops: Hands-on sessions with Everyman artists, technicians, and staff tailored to acting, design, directing, playwriting, dramaturgy, and theatre administration courses.
  • Industry Masterclasses & Guest Lectures: Visits from company members and guest artists offering professional insights into craft, career pathways, and the realities of working in today’s theatre landscape.
  • Behind-the-Scenes Access: Design presentations, technical rehearsals, and production talks that allow students to witness the artistic process in real time.
  • Observership Program: A unique opportunity for selected students to shadow a production’s artistic and technical teams, gaining firsthand experience with rehearsals, meetings, and backstage processes.
