Everyman’s Signature High School Matinee Program takes students in select Baltimore City schools on a deep dive into the theatre-going experience.
The High School Matinee Program has been providing Baltimore City students access to Everyman’s productions completely free of charge since 1997. Through this flagship education program, we have created deep and lasting relationships with several local high schools, and many teachers and students.
The program is provided FREE OF CHARGE to the same group of students throughout an entire school year, emphasizing the importance of repeat exposure to theatre. The theatre provides:
- In-school Pre-Show Workshops designed to explore unique theatrical perspectives as they relate to the upcoming production
- Interactive Play Guides
- Access to actors through talkbacks after each show when possible
- Production Artist visit the classroom for post-show visits
- Bus Transportation to and from the school
- Tickets to each production
To apply to become a partner school in the High School Matinee Program, please complete this application form and email to education@everymantheatre.org.
“Before coming to Everyman Theatre through the HIgh School Matinee Program, I had an initial fear about pursuing theater. By being a part of the Everyman Theatre family, I have made a decision to make the arts a part of the rest of my life.”
