What does being part of Everyman’s Resident Company mean to you?

Being a member of the resident company means having stability in an unpredictable career—a chance to live near work, build a family, and grow roots in a city. It allows deep bonds with fellow actors and the freedom to create nuanced, meaningful characters together, enriched by the trust and continuity of the company.

How has your time as a Resident Company Member influenced your artistic journey or career?

Being a company member has profoundly shaped my career by freeing me from the soul-draining audition cycle. It allows me to explore a wide variety of roles I might not encounter elsewhere, letting me take creative risks, deepen my craft, and focus on the work itself rather than the pressures of constant self-promotion.

What connections do you have with Baltimore?

I’ve been a Marylander since 1973, educated and trained locally, and toured briefly with a company here. New York never held appeal. Staying in Baltimore allowed me to build lasting bonds and meaningful connections within the theater community, valuing rooted, collaborative relationships over the transience of a typical acting career.
