AGNES OF GOD
Gripping psychological drama inspired by true events
This tense and riveting play, which received three Tony Award nominations and was adapted into an award-winning film, is a powerful drama set in the 1980s in a quiet, secluded convent. It explores the volatile intersection of faith, science, and moral conviction. When Agnes, a fragile and innocent young nun, faces a traumatic crisis involving a seemingly miraculous birth – and subsequent death – of her newborn child, yet having no memory of how she became pregnant, a determined psychiatrist arrives on the scene to uncover the truth. This gripping story of suspense and revelation challenges us to confront the consequences of our lives and grapple with questions that remain unanswered.
